The old bridge over the Merced River had to be demolished before this new structure could be built.
Dehli Project completed
in Northern California

On November 9th, all traffic lanes opened on three and one-half miles of State Highway 99 in Delhi, California. Delhi is 60 miles east of San Jose. This $21.6 million project for Caltrans involved constructing two freeway interchanges with eight ramps, 4.5 miles of frontage roads, and two grade separations over the Union Pacific Railroad. FCI North removed and replaced one bridge over the Merced River and erected four additional new structures.

Project manager Greg LaBlanc praises his crew for a well-built project. The punch list is extremely small, and only one of five bridges required grinding to smooth the concrete on the decks. Congratulations to Greg and his crew!
