Project Overview:
This $44.6 million project, commissioned by the California
Department of Transportation, began on October 19, 2000. Adjacent
to another FCI South project on Route 30 at Monte Vista, the
construction at Thompson Creek consisted of 1.25 miles of
new freeway, four lanes in each direction, including an HOV
lane. This project was on an accelerated schedule of 60-hour
work weeks and was completed August 21, 2002.

20,000 linear feet of storm drain and underdrain pipe
14,000 linear feet of reinforce concrete culverts
1.6 million cubic yards of roadway excavation
1.26 miles of concrete paving
6,000 linear feet of retaining walls
One Flume Bridge overcrossing
44,000 cubic yards of concrete paving
