Necessary strategic partnerships have been
developed to design and build the new Cooper
River Bridge, South Carolina's largest transportation
project to date.
This $531 million design/build project
is being constructed by Palmetto Bridge
Constructors, a joint venture with HBG Constructors
and Tidewater
Skanska through the operating companies
HBG Flatiron and SKANSKA USA Civil company.
Parsons Brinkerhoff Quade and Douglas is
the lead design for the joint venture. The
joint venture is a 60-40 split with Tidewater
Skanska as the managing partner.
Assisting in the management of this large
joint venture are TY LIN and HDR, providing
design review and inspection services.
Each partner brings specific expertise
and is essential to the success of this
project. HBG Flatiron is proud to be part
