Project Overview:
This $15.5 million FCI
South job began in late November 2001. The project's components
include bridge widening, pavement rehab and numerous safety
features on highway routes 60, 91 and 215.
This project is especially challenging because it requires
two lane closures on one of Southern Californias most
traveled freeways. All work must be completed between 9 p.m.
and 5 a.m. as to avoid major traffic delays. Crews must demolish
existing pavement, pour concrete and allow 4.5 hours for the
concrete to cure all within this eight-hour window. This project
is expected to be completed winter, 2003.
