HBG Flatiron, Inc. is leading a design-build joint venture for Utah Transit Authority's $72 million extension of Salt Lake City's light rail transit system.
Project
Features:
- 2.5 mile light rail transit system from downtown Salt Lake City to the University of Utah and Rice-Eccles Stadium
- Trackwork, four passenger stations, signalization, integrated traffic control and communications
- Electric power supply and distribution (including traction power substations and overhead catenary system)
- Extensive utility relocation, maintenance of high-density traffic, and roadway reconstruction
